No account, and still in control of your link
Without an account (guest uploads)
Sharing a build without an account is quick, but once the browser tab is closed the person who uploaded it usually has no way back: no idea whether anyone installed it, no way to stop it early, and no place where testers can say what broke.
Every guest upload on AppForShare now comes with a private manage link. Bookmark it, and you can come back to the build later from any browser, with no account and no sign in.
Example
Manage this link
- Installs7 of 20 (4 a day)
- Link endsIn 2 days
- Tester feedback2 reports, 1 with screenshots
- End the link soonerIn 1 day, in 2 days or now
Made for
- Developers who send one build now and then and do not want an account yet
- Freelancers sending a quick build to a client for a first look
- Anyone who shared a link too widely and wants it to stop sooner
What it ends
- A link you cannot stop once the tab is closed
- No idea whether the tester installed the build
- Feedback scattered over chat messages, with no device or build attached
How it works
Step 1
Upload without an account
Drop an .ipa or .apk on the upload box and pass the human check. You get the install link and QR code as before.
Step 2
Keep the manage link
Under the install link, the upload box shows a private manage link with Copy and a prompt to open and bookmark it. Keep it to yourself: anyone who has it can end or delete the build.
Step 3
Come back any time
Open the manage link to see installs, time left and feedback, end the link sooner, delete the build or restore it within 7 days.
Private by design
The manage link looks like /m/<id>#<key>. The part after # stays in your browser: browsers never send it to our servers, our logs or other sites. AppForShare keeps only a hash of the key. The page is not indexed by search engines, sends no referrer and loads no analytics or chat widget.
A leaked manage link lets someone end or delete the build, the same as the upload box itself, so keep it private.
Feedback from testers, without an account on either side
Testers who open a guest build see the Send feedback card on the install page, behind a human check. They can write what happened and add up to 3 screenshots. Device, model and OS come with the report.
You read the reports only through the manage link, and can delete them there. Nobody is emailed about them, because we have no address for a guest. If you create an account later on the same browser, the build and its feedback move into it.
End it sooner, never longer
A guest link lives for its fixed number of days. From the manage link you can end it in 1 day, in 2 days or right now. A guest link can only be shortened. To keep a link longer, create a free account, where one link can be kept live for 60 days for $2, or use Pro, where links stay live while you subscribe.
Good to know
- Guest limits stay the same: 50 MB per build, links live 3 days, 20 installs per link and 4 a day.
- No password on guest links. Passwords come with a free account.
- No screen recording in guest feedback, and no email, push or webhook about it.
- No CLI or AI assistant access for guest uploads, by design: guests have no token.
Questions
- Do I need an account for the manage link?
- No. It comes with every upload made without an account. Keep it private and bookmark it.
- What if I lose the manage link?
- Without an account there is no way to recover it. The link still ends on its own when its days are up.
- Can I make a guest link last longer?
- No. A guest link can only end sooner. A free account gives 7 day links and a $2 option to keep one link for 60 days; Pro and Team links stay live while you subscribe.
- Can testers send feedback on a guest build?
- Yes, with up to 3 screenshots after a human check. You read it through the manage link.
- What happens when I sign up?
- Sign up on the same browser, or on a browser that opened the manage link, and the build moves into your account with its feedback. The manage page then says it is in an account, and the dashboard manages it.
