Share an IPA without signing up: what no login link services give you and what they keep
· 6 min read
Several services let you upload an .ipa or .apk and get an install link without making an account. They look alike from the upload box. They differ in what happens after: how big the file can be, how long the link lives, whether you can protect it, who can stop or delete it later, and whether your app ends up on a public page. This guide walks through those questions for the no login options people use most, so you can pick by job instead of by habit.
A note on sources. Figures for other services are as read on their sites on the dates given in each section, and they change often, so check before you rely on them. AppForShare is the tool we make, so read our parts with that in mind.
The no login options side by side
| Largest file | Link life | Installs | Password | Come back later | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ShareIPA (Nov 6, 2026) | 250 MB | Up to 7 days, you choose | Not stated | Yes | Admin URL |
| InstallOnAir guest (Nov 3, 2026) | 200 MB | 3 days from upload; paid extension right after upload | No limit stated | Not listed | Not listed |
| Loadly (Nov 3, 2026) | 2 GB | Advertised as never expiring | No strict limit stated | Yes, listed | Guest uploads cannot be disabled or deleted (its help page) |
| Diawi free (Nov 2, 2026) | 20 MB | 1 day from the last install | 2 per app | Yes, an upload option | Expired links cannot be re-enabled without an account |
| AppForShare, no account | 50 MB | 3 days, can be ended sooner | 20 per link, 4 a day | No | Private manage link |
Read it by job. For the biggest free file, Loadly is ahead, then ShareIPA and InstallOnAir. For a password without an account, ShareIPA, Loadly or Diawi. For control after the upload (seeing installs, reading feedback, ending the link early), ShareIPA's admin URL and the AppForShare manage link are the two that give you a page to come back to.
Five questions to ask before you upload
1. How long does the link need to live?
Most no login links end in 1 to 7 days. That is fine for a build you test today. For a client review that runs for weeks, you will upload again and resend the link several times. If that is the job, an account is worth it: on AppForShare Free a link lives 7 days and $2 once keeps one link live for 60 days; on Pro and Team links stay live while you subscribe.
2. Who can stop or delete the link later?
This is the question people forget. If you shared a link too widely, can you stop it? Loadly's help page says uploads made without an account cannot be disabled or deleted by the uploader. On AppForShare every guest upload comes with a private manage link: you can end the link in 1 day, in 2 days or now, delete the build, or restore it within 7 days. The key is after the # in the address, so it never reaches our servers or logs. Keep it private, because whoever has it can end or delete the build.
3. Can testers reach you?
A tester who cannot install, or finds a bug, usually writes in chat with no device or build attached. ShareIPA lists feedback collection. On AppForShare, guest builds show the Send feedback card on the install page behind a human check, with up to 3 screenshots, and you read it through the manage link. Nobody is emailed about it, since we have no address for a guest.
4. Will the app show up on a public page?
ShareIPA has a public "Wall of Apps" page that lists apps being shared; whether an upload goes on it by default was not clear from the page on November 6, 2026. Diawi's upload API has a wall of apps option too. AppForShare install pages are never indexed by search engines and never listed on a public page. For a client's unreleased app, check this before you upload.
5. What does the service do about pirated apps?
No login uploads attract cracked and modded apps, and that affects everyone who shares a link on the same service. AppForShare refuses builds whose app ID belongs to big companies that never ship test builds this way, and known malware IDs. Guest uploads whose app name reads like a hack, mod, cheat or cracked app are refused with a message asking the uploader to sign in if it is their own app. This is a name and app ID check, not a malware scan, and we do not claim to scan uploads.
What no login links cannot fix
Some problems are the same on every service, with or without an account.
- iPhones not in the profile. An ad hoc build installs only on iPhones whose UDID is in its provisioning profile. No link service changes that. AppForShare install pages tell the tester before the tap when a build cannot work on their phone (iOS too old, iPad only, profile ended), and a tester who checked the iPhone once with the free UDID finder sees whether it is in the build. See a UDID list is not enough.
- App Store and TestFlight builds. A build signed for the App Store does not install from a link. Use TestFlight for those.
- Android App Bundles. An .aab is not installable by itself. On AppForShare a free account turns it into one APK; without an account, upload an .apk.
When an account is worth it
An AppForShare Free account costs nothing and has no card on file. It raises the file size to 150 MB and link life to 7 days, adds a password per build, .aab uploads, a feedback inbox with up to 5 screenshots per report, and the store readiness check on every build. Pro ($12 a month, lower regional prices in many countries) adds 2 GB files, links that stay while you subscribe, channels and CI uploads.
If you only share a build now and then and none of that matters, a no login link is the right tool, and ShareIPA or InstallOnAir give you more file size than we do without an account. For ShareIPA specifically, see ShareIPA alternative and AppForShare vs Zunoy AppShare and ShareIPA. For the others, see free InstallOnAir alternatives and Diawi limits.
Common questions
Can I share an IPA without signing up?
Yes, on ShareIPA, InstallOnAir, Loadly, Diawi and AppForShare. The limits differ, as in the table above.
Can I delete a link I shared without an account?
It depends on the service. On AppForShare, yes, from the private manage link you got after the upload, and you can restore it within 7 days.
Can I make a no login link last longer?
On AppForShare a guest link can only be ended sooner. InstallOnAir sells an extension right after a guest upload. For longer links on AppForShare, use a free account ($2 keeps one link 60 days) or Pro.
