Understanding AppForShare Pricing and Subscription Plans

AppForShare has four ways to share app builds: Guest (no account, free), Free ($0), Pro ($12 per month or $120 per year) and Team ($39 per month or $390 per year, 5 seats included). The plans differ in maximum file size, storage, how long install links stay live and monthly download bandwidth. Paid plans renew automatically, can be cancelled any time, and are not refunded. There is no free trial of Pro or Team; the Free plan is the free option.

What each plan includes

Guest

Upload an APK or IPA without an account and get an install link and QR code. Uploads need a captcha. Good for a quick one-off share with a few people.

Free

A free account adds password protected links, 2 GB of storage, 7-day links and 10 GB of monthly bandwidth. You also get the UDID finder, which any iOS tester can use without an account.

Pro

For developers who test continuously. Pro adds:

• Files up to 2 GB, 25 GB storage and 40 GB monthly bandwidth.
• Links that stay live while you are subscribed.
• Release notes on each build.
• CI upload tokens for the CLI, GitHub Action and Fastlane. See uploading from CI.
• Webhooks for Slack, Discord or your own signed endpoint. See webhooks.
• Install analytics: devices, OS versions, models, countries and a daily series.

Team

For studios, agencies and product teams. Team includes everything in Pro, plus:

• A workspace with roles (Admin, Developer, Viewer), 5 seats included and extra seats at $6 per month each.
• Tester management: private projects that only invited testers can open, email to testers on each new build, and a view of who installed.
• A custom domain for install links and a white-label install page with your logo and colours, with the "Shared with AppForShare" line hidden. See custom domains and white-label pages.
• Files up to 4 GB, 150 GB storage and 150 GB monthly bandwidth.

How bandwidth works

Bandwidth is the amount of data testers download when they install your builds. Uploading is free and does not count.

• A 50 MB build installed 20 times uses about 1 GB.
• On Free, at most one fifth of the monthly allowance (2 GB) can be used in a single day.
• Bandwidth resets on the 1st of each month (UTC), including on yearly plans.
• If you reach your cap, install links tell testers that the owner needs more bandwidth. Nothing is billed automatically.
• Pro and Team can buy a bandwidth add-on: 50 GB for $10, up to 4 add-ons per month.

Monthly or yearly

Yearly billing costs the price of 10 months. Pro is $120 per year instead of $144 paid monthly, and Team is $390 per year instead of $468. Both renew automatically until you cancel. Cards are processed by Stripe and AppForShare never sees full card numbers.

Cancellation and refunds

• You can cancel any time from Billing in the dashboard.
• Your plan and its features stay active until the end of the period you paid for.
• After that, your account follows Free rules and existing links stay live for 7 more days.
• Payments are not refunded, including renewals and partial periods. The exceptions are a billing mistake on our side, a paid feature we discontinue, or consumer law that cannot be waived.
• Moving to a lower plan becomes account credit, not a cash refund.

Which plan should you choose?

• Sending one build to a friend or client today: Guest.
• Solo developer testing small apps in short rounds: Free.
• Developer with a beta that runs for weeks, or uploads from CI: Pro.
• Agency or team that needs shared access, private testers or its own domain: Team.

Check your build size first. If your release APK or IPA is larger than 150 MB, you need Pro or Team. Read file size and upload limits for more.

What is not included

AppForShare plans do not include a free trial, lifetime licences, seasonal discounts, unlimited storage or unlimited uploads. The older Beginner, Freelance, Start-Up and Enterprise plans have been retired. AppForShare is not an app store and does not publish your app to Google Play or the App Store; it shares test builds for over-the-air installation.
